Discover a coastal world

The island of Kjerringøy is about 40 km north of Bodø where narrow fjords encircle a mountainous peninsula.

Coachtrip with guide from Bodø takes about 1 hour.

This includes a short ferry crossing the Misten Fjord.  For larger groups ( 100 pax) it is possible to take the hydrofoil from Bodø. If you really want a spectacular start try the RIBS!

On arrival an aperitif is served. A guided tour around the trading post by one of the local guides will turn the clock back over 100 years.  Some of the local villagers play accordion music while the dance group show you some of the north Norwegian traditional dances. There is also a demonstration of some of the old traditional crafts including boatbuilding.

Lunch is served at the local cafe, dinner in the old fishing factory which is situated nearby. How about fresh prawns or a large cold table filled with delicious shellfish and fish dishes ?

The return trip to Bodø can either be by coach or boat.  The boat trip can include a sightseeing trip round the island of Landegode, a perfect ending to a perfect evening !
