Walking on the glacier "Svartisen" is magic. Easily accessible it is possible for almost everyone to participate. Equipped with rope, icepick and crampons you can experience at first hand the fascination of the blue-coloured ice. Glacier walking is teamwork ! The Engabreen provides you with many different challenges... deep crevices and vertical walls of ice are just a few of them. This part of the glacier is easy to reach as it almost stretches down to sea-level. We provide experienced guides who will give instructions making sure that safety is always top priority. If you wish to prolong your stay there is an opportunity to camp nearby in a traditional tent. You can also take a bath in a hot tub in water from the glacier or even in the ice-cold stream!
