Bremnes Fort is one of the few remaining forts built by the Germans along the coast of Norway during the Second World War. Situated only 10 minutes by coach from Bodø, it was mainly used for storing ammunition and also had several large canons.
After the war the fort was taken over by the Norwegian Army before it was handed over to a local group of historians and is now kept as a Museum.
As you enter the dark tunnel, lit up only by candles, you can hear the distant music as you approach the main hall. Here you see long tables covered in white tablecloths and decorated with 400 candles spread around the room. This is a unique setting in which to serve your meal!
